So she's a seleb but seriously, how good does she look! Yes, she's had botox and a dodgy boob job but what else has she had done to look this good? I'm 41 and have had botox and I don't look this good and I blumin well won't in another 16 years.

She looks awful

CuddlyBlanket · 06/01/2013 13:37

Nice figure then she opens she mouth arrgghhh! Isn't she dating someone dodgy? I wonder what her kids think of her blowing Dad in public?

BooCanary · 06/01/2013 13:38

Cindy Jackson does not look good - so obviously plastic - eurgh!

barbiecollector · 06/01/2013 13:43

I think she looks beautiful, like a work of art. So what if it's not natural?

noddyholder · 06/01/2013 13:44

Depends on whether you like a totally fake look. She is dead behind the eyes probably because she has eradicated her real self. A tweak is one thing but that is someone else's face!

Bonsoir · 06/01/2013 13:46

She looks like an aging Barbie!

MissBoPeep · 06/01/2013 13:47

There's 57and 57.

I've lots of friends around that age - give or take a year or two- who look as good, though not in an Essex way.

If you look after your face and figure and don't just give in then it's easy to look like that.

But it takes work and the truth is that many women don't bother at 20 , 30 or 40, never mind 50s. With the average dress size being 16 and half of all women obese or overweight, then anyone who makes an effort looks better than the majority. I'm not starting a fat debate- but these are the stats.

If you get the hang of subtle make up, a good hair cut and colour, exercise and dress fashionably, then you can look good at 57. It's not exactly old age these days FGS!

Charliefox · 06/01/2013 14:12

57 isn't young either, no matter how hard we try and convince ourselves!

She is just over two years away from OAP and getting her buspass.

Arisbottle · 06/01/2013 14:22

botox
expensive and effective skincare
airbrushing
Good diet

Narked · 06/01/2013 14:29

My mother looks better than her and is almost ten years older. And she hasn't injected all sorts of crap into herself and be cut up to achieve it. If you don't smoke, drink and eat well then you'll age well. Or you can transform yourself into a Barbie doll that's been left too close to the radiator.

ToastedTeacakes · 06/01/2013 14:31

It's cos she quit working on that damn fruit and veg stall.

digerd · 06/01/2013 14:33

Also a lot depends on whether you have lucky genes or not. My neighbour is 83, and hasn't aged in the last 15 years, and looked 10 years younger then. She has had no plastic/cosmestic procedures.

I remember Gillian in Eastenders serving in the cafe when she was 42, and noticed the sagging wrinkling bits round her jowels. Now they have disappeared !

happybubblebrain · 06/01/2013 14:34

She looked good on entry to the house, obviously hours and hours spent in make-up.

Within 24 hours in the house she looked 57.

Botox doesn't make people look any younger, in my opinion, it just makes them look more like they've had botox.

MarshaBrady · 06/01/2013 14:48

That hair. Too bleached.

Would be better if it was all toned down.

digerd · 06/01/2013 14:49

Botox can't lift sagging, wrinkling jowels, only a face lift can.

digerd · 06/01/2013 14:55

Cindy Jackson has the bone structure unless it's a chin implant. And photos are always air brushed.

lljkk · 06/01/2013 15:05

Her skin is lovely. I'd be happy to have that (no chance, grew up in a very sunny place damage done).

MissBoPeep · 06/01/2013 15:46

I don't see how you can make any judgement based on that photo- it's a distance shot. She's also been professionally made up and is in evening wear.

Lots of 50+ women could look that way with professional make up etc.

I don't like her "look" but she's not anything special for 50s.

Good lighting, make up etc can work wonders in photos. There were some pics of Nigella last week in the cold light of day with little make up and she looked awful- old and jowly and nothing like on TV or her book covers.

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2013 17:12

There is a hell of a lot of retouching and air brushing done by the magazines along with the botox and plastic surgery. I reckon the cameras have 'muslin' or vaseline put over the lens, anyone seen the latest look of Nigella Lawson's or Felicity Kendal's? I wouldn't want to look like a stretched faced human Barbie.

Soon all women and a some men with the money and inclination will all look exactly the same not funny or clever IMO !!!

lljkk · 06/01/2013 17:17

I went and googled images of the lady to get a better idea, I did not just look at OP's image. I know some pix are 5-15 years old, but even so, she looked awful in none of them. Lovely skin. Whether she looks good compared to other 50-60 something Slebs I wouldn't know because I rarely see Sleb pictures. But compared to every 57yo I've known in person, she looks fab.

SunshineOutdoors · 06/01/2013 20:26

Toady is in sleb bb? Sorry I know that's not the point of the thread but I would have watched it if I'd known! Does that mean he's left neighbours?
