Similar look to this but preferably at less £££

Has anyone seen any around?

Hi MrsCB!

I have this Gap one. I literally wear it a couple a times a week, it is such a good fit (not massive like usual Gap) and I really like the pearl buttons.

Really good buy.

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/01/2013 07:56

Hi MIM - how are you?

I was looking at that gap one online - do you have that colour or the darker one they used to do? I may actually drag myself out of the house and go and take a look later.

I am good thanks!

I have the lighter one. I tried the darker one on, it was just too heavy for me in terms of colour and general shape.

The light one looks great with white denim...!

Oooh very tempted - am also coveting the neon pink clutch from gap so could order from comfort of my bed.

Thanks so much!

Job done!

BadDog · 06/01/2013 08:23

I have a Zara one. I rarely wear.

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/01/2013 08:27

Now why do you rarely wear baddog? I'm fancying with of course white jeans but also under jumpers for now.

I can't wait till j crew opens in london this summer as pretty much love every look on their site

It's the jeans issue. Meant to wear with uniqlo grey cords but they bag

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/01/2013 08:35

I quite like the paler shirts with dark denim jeans

I just don't get on with cords - they make me look fat

These just bagged. Anyhow back to work this week. As son said "you only wear that stuff 3/7 days a week you don't need it".

Have two quite distinct wardrobes.

midnightinmoscow · 06/01/2013 09:10

I wear my denim shirt with:

Black jeans
Grey jeans
Very indigo jeans
Navy/stone shorts and chinos
Black jersey skirt

bunnymother · 06/01/2013 09:27

Are H&M doing them at the moment? I got mine from there for £15 and really like it.

dexter73 · 06/01/2013 10:14

Oh no MrsCB - are the superdry cords for the Ebay pile?

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/01/2013 07:27

They will be dexter. Of course at the moment everything makes me look fat because I ahem am.

Tried on the denim shirt in gap but on me it was pure suzi quatro. I think that like leather biker jackets they just don't work on me.

FRIENDGIFT12 will get you 20% discount at JCrew until Feb 1st if that's any help?

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/01/2013 08:34

Oh don't Faustina!!

I have a Boden one that looks very good with a tweed skirt.

DonaAna · 07/01/2013 12:54

A chambray/denim shirt is really versatile. I have two - a MBMJ from NAP and a cheap one from Vila/Selected (their boys department actually!) - and have worn them at least once a week since last summer.

I've picked slightly looser cut shirts without breast pockets - they look better on me. A vest underneath they are warm enough for winter. I wear them denim (using darker jeans for contrast) or a leather pencil skirt/ black coated skinnies. Pearls look good with them too Grin

justasecond · 07/01/2013 12:56

Thats a beauty DonaAna, my idea of the perfect denim shirt.

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/01/2013 12:58

Dona - that's pretty much exactly what I need - was pondering chambray being better and also have recently come to the conclusion that pockets on shirts don't suit me.

Right - off to find one like that!

thanks everyone

MrsCB, my shirt is till available on Mytheresa (or google Marc by Marc Jacobs Ayler shirt). It's wonderfully soft and has clever hidden hem darts (unlike men, most women have hips). But I really recommend checking out the men's department too - I saw a similar one at COS.
