The home one off amazon. Have you? Would you? Any reason I shouldn't? I have heard it can be life changing but u have to use certain shampoos etc? Anyone like to share their experiences? TIA

I did it, for myself and dd and it definitely worked, barely needed to straighten at all and hair was more manageable although a little limp for the first week
. I wasn't keen on the sulphite free shampoos though, my hair didn't feel clean. I have had my hair cut shorter and don't need to redo it but there's enough in the bottle or one or two more goes.

Thx for reply. Do u need a salt free shampoo and conditioner too? Any brands of shampoo u would recommend.

I used it, it was really great but not totally life changing. My hair is kind of wavy naturally and prone to frizz in damp/hot weather, and it was totally fried and brittle from years of GHDs and horrible L'oreal shampoo (sulphates baked on like varnish). The kit was great, I found it easy to use although it takes a good few hours and smells a lot. For the first two weeks my hair was poker straight but a bit limp. Since then it is still a bit wavy but much smoother, less frizzy, more manageable, and much much better condition, still needs straightening a bit but much quicker.

You will need sulphate free shampoos and conditioner but thats a good thing! I started off with the tresemme naturals shampoo but I didnt like that so now I use the organixx coconut brazillian keratin ones and they are really lovely (altho a bit £££). I think the switch to sulphate free shampoo/conditioner has made the biggest difference to my hair, the condition is great now. I also use a sulphate free heat defence spray before straightening (the organixx brazillian coconut one). It took a while for the sulphate free-ness to improve the condition but I definitely think it has worked wonders.

For general condition and less frizz I would really recommend the home keratin kit. But IMHO see it more as a condition and frizz solution, rather than poker straight hair for three months. By the way, I found that my hair looked great during the three day period when you can't wash it, so no problems. Go for it Bella!
