Going to get my hair chopped off!

Hair is down almost to bra strap level but usually tied back into a ponytail. I didn't intend my hair to get this long I just don't have a lot of time to go to the hairdressers. One of my new year resolutions is to find 'me' time and as such I have a hair appointment on Saturday. Am thinking of having my hair cut into a jaw length bob but think I may chicken out by then.

Who can help keep me focused?

I have the same plan. I've been growing it for 2 or 3 years but am now fancying a curly bob (my hair is naturally curly). I haven't made an appointment yet, might pop in today when I'm in town. I'm scared I might chicken out too"

(I started a thread further down, looking for style suggestions.)

Great idea, jinglebells. I did this last year but in stages as I wasn't brave enough to go from bra strap length to jaw length in one go. I find that my hair looks MUCH better now, but it does need cutting much more often which is expensive. I don't have it coloured though, so it's not too bad. Go for it - it will always grow back if you don't like it :)

I know jaw length suits me, I'm more worried about upkeep (will need more regular cutting plus straightening). But I'm really tired of it as it is, plus getting it pulled by 3 month old DS2 all the time!
