In that case, what's the difference between combat trousers and cargo trousers?

georginarf · 17/04/2006 19:40

'slacks' - Grin.

Doesn't that word conjure up a really classy pair of trousers!!! Wink

Clayhead · 17/04/2006 19:43

Am wearing mine (dark brown too)

They have no pockets on the leg either.

georginarf · 17/04/2006 19:43

sta-pressed slacks with a smart crease down the front

lovely

NomDePlume · 17/04/2006 19:43

'Slacks' makes me think of nylon/polyester Farahs

MrsBadger · 17/04/2006 19:44

think 'cargo' is used by shops aviding military connotations - Gap is big on this and has always called them Cargo Pants

mykidsmum · 17/04/2006 19:46

I think you need to be funky to pull of boardies or combats, on older people with shoes/boots they look yuk

nutcracker · 17/04/2006 20:05

I wear combats with trainers.

Mum is almost 60 and lives in combats! Needs all those pockets for her mobile phones (yes, plural, she carries about 3 around with her)!

lact8 · 17/04/2006 20:16

I have some and they are great for in the summer. I wore them last year with tshirt/vest and slip on sandal type things. They are lightweight and great for going to the park when you haven't shaved your legs so can't wear a skirt but don't want to swelter in anything too heavy. But no cropped t shirts, I leave that to the skinny 16 year olds without jelly bellys (yet!) Smile

mosschops30 · 17/04/2006 20:18

love em, I have 2 pairs and live in them, wear them with my Vans (which I have in 2 colours Grin )

puff · 17/04/2006 20:26

Oh right, now cargo pants I understand. I have a pair, but they sort of "hammock" my bum which is rather unattractive

nutcracker · 18/04/2006 07:45

Blimey really Cod, hmmm can't quite see her having the same scare factor as batman really, unless she is planning on borrowing his cape Grin.

Trying to picture her face and can't remember what she looked like.

nutcracker · 18/04/2006 07:45

Oh meant to add also that when I wore my combats or whatever they are called, I got compliments on my behing Grin
