I have put a picture up on my profile.

It's just a denim dress that I quite like the shape of, does it look to dated? I will probably wear it with an oversized chunky knit burgundy type cardigan and brown ankle boots.

Also, it is a size 12, which is two dress sizes smaller than I was in September please don't tell me it looks too tight

Photo is a wee bit small but the shape looks ok. Doesn't look too tight.

All denim dresses look dated to me though.

dificult to judge the dress because it just looks quite dark in the photo. I didn't think from what I could see that it looked too tight. However with a wide skirt, a bulky cardigan and ankle boots, you won't have a slim-line look. The whole effect might be a bit bulky and choppy. Try it. Take a photo with the cardigan and boots on maybe?

I actually like it the shape suits you and I agree it doesn't look too tight. If you love it wear it!

That was my worry about the denim - I can't tell if I like the dress or the size of the dress IYSWIM!

It has got to the point, weightless wise, where I can wear the smaller dresses in my cupboard, but am not confident enough to go without another layer, but all my cardigans are big cover ups, so I end up looking just as frumpy as when I was a 16.

Hang on and I will do another picture with the boots and cardigan.

I'd put it with chunky knee high or mid calf boots though, rather than ankle boots which can look a bit 'mumsy' imo.

It's a nice shape on you, you have a good figure. I'd wear it with a short thin cardigan or fitted blazer jacket, so as not to lose that lovely waist.

I thought ankle boots were modern and 'trendy?' That's why I bought them... Also, my calves are relatively thin and I thought it would be a good idea to show those, rather than hide them with mid calf boots?

It does suit your shape and doesn't look too tight. I think ankle boots would look fine with it.

It does look good I have that dress also a 12 . Because it flares out it does make me feel it looks frumpy when I look down at it, if that makes sense. But I do get nice comments when I wear it. I only wear it in summer but I would suspect tights boots and cardigan would look good for winter.

take it with you and try on some closer fitting cardigans/jackets. You say you have a few smaller sized dresses so maybe you can get something that goes with a couple of them to make a nice outfit for the cold weather. In summer you can wear it without a cardigan. I think it looks good on you.

It looks great. Definately ankle boots. I feel longer boots can look mumsy sometimes. Ankle boots are more current IMHO.

Looks much better without the cardigan, but I'm not so sure of the overall shape of it really. There's a lot of fabric around your waist that hides your good figure. I think you would look better in something without so much 'gathering'.

I'm afraid I agree with SchmaltzingMatilda re the skirt. You have a great figure, but I think the fullness of the skirt is adding "breadth" to your lower half. Have you tried more fitted styles to show off your curves to full effect? By the way, congratulations on the weight loss!!

I don't think it looks too tight, but I do think it looks a bit "old" for you. Based on the photo (which doesn't show your face) I would have said you were much older than 25 in that dress. Well done on the weight loss!

I'm sorry but I don't think it looks good at all. The style is dated which wouldn't be the end of the world if it were flattering but I'm not convinced. The front is too low so that it makes it look like there a huge expanse of boob, ok so you have a larger bust but I don't think this is making them look great (which I suspect you could do). It gives you a nice waist but then the bottom half of the dress isn't flattering either. Also it makes you look older than mid twenties, I'd start again.

Now get rid of that voluminous dress and show yourself off a bit more. You don't need to hide behind baggy dresses and lumpy cardigans anymore - you're 25, you now have a great body!

You can do much better than that dress, in all honesty. Have you had your bra size checked recently? I wonder if you're smaller than a 34" back - try a smaller back size/maybe with an increased cup size. Boobs need to held up up UP if they're big (G cup here) - I think they look a little l-o-w in your photos. With a good bra, you'll show off that trim bit between waist and tits - and you already have a great waist.
