where is the best place to buy t-shirts, tops and leggings?

I have lots of dresses, cardigans, jeans, jumper dresses etc but I never have anything to wear! mainly because I have 1 pair of black leggings to wear with the jumper dresses and no t-shirs or tops to wear under the cardigans or with my trousers?

where are the best places to pick up plain leggings? (I hate the patterned ones) basic t-shirts that dont loose their shape and nice tops?

Hi. Most of my basics like this are from DPs or M&S. I find Primark and Supermarket stuff false economy. I got loads of leggings for Xmas. Peacocks ones are ok. ASOS and River Island I managed to get holes in on first wear but I also got loads from various Debenhams ranges that MIL picked up in sale and they are all lovely quality.

I've always bought most of my tshirts for supermarkets before (due to cost really) or primark and am finding that they become unwearable after a few months. So now I have some cash to spend I thought I'd try and find a few nice ones I can wear for longer. thanks, I'll try dp. My one pair of leggings come from debinhams (red herring) and they have a hole in the crotch I keep forgetting to repair until I'm wearing them! I'll take a look at m&s too

I got the best vests ever from Muji, they're ideal under jumpers, cardis etc.

Watch the sizing though, I'm a 14 in most things and need the xl.

I have Boden t shirt tops that are several years old and still going strong, but Boden leggings that have gone holey after a few washes and wears.

I've just been looking at dp and have spent far too much (most of it will go back no doubt) I dont think I can look at boden too.

Nice tops means different things to different people. I would start with Zara or Massimo Dutti maybe.

H&M normally has a good selection.

Sainsburys has excellent plain blue brown or black leggings and very good price. T shirts are a perpetual problem for me. My view is : Boden ones good and not see through, Gap generally rubbish these days but Bowery ones are just about OK, uniqlo good but too big and I haven't road tested the white ones to know whether they are see through, white Co good but not quite long enough. Still seeking the Holy Grail ...
