It is this:

DO NOT get eyelash extensions, find them to be irritating a week later and pull them out yourself

I can't leave the fecking house, What am I to do????????

happened to me too....last april i had them for my anniversary and they started to fall out about a week later - complete with my own lashes attached.

luckily they grow back fast. do you have stubs? i had stubs....i mascarad them to death....and vowed never again despite the long lashes looking bloody fabulous and making my eyes look HUGE....

beauty therapist ssaid i should have gone back there as you can get lash remover so maybe if i ever venture to get them again i will invest in the remover stuff too....

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 22:54

I have stubs

Have just coated them in mascara and schreeched "Look at me, look at me.....no...don't look at me........I'm a freak" at a slightly bewildered DH.

When did they grow back Vicar?

VicarInaTutuDrankSantasSherry · 27/12/2012 22:56

really quickly - honest they dont take long at all.....mine are fully recovered.

its the same with shellac nails....just dont do it!

VicarInaTutuDrankSantasSherry · 27/12/2012 22:58

i actually toyed with going and buying those false lashes you get in a strip but didnt in the end....

i would have falsies again but i would get the lash remover for when they are starting to fall out and the temptation is to pick and pull at them.....

CooEeeEldridge · 27/12/2012 22:58

Are they not good then???? I'm seriously tempted by them as can never get false ones on right!

ggirl · 27/12/2012 22:59

can I also add ...
don't allow anyone to dye your lashes without an allergy test

..especially just before your summer holiday

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 23:00

Arrrrrrrrrrrgh

I have bloody, fucking Shelac nails on now, chipping away, taking my own nails beds with them. Or I think I do? It's the gel stuff?

And a fake tan that has left me patchier than a quilt

I had vouchers you see

Thank you for the reassurance :) ..........Hopefully I will be able to venture outside by 2014

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 23:02

Coo

They looked bloody marvellous for about a week

Then they went a bit odd and were making my eyes itchy, possibly exacerbated by me being a contact lens wearer

I'd had Wine so thought, feck it, I'll take them off

Now I look.................baldy

OP posts:
rhondajean · 27/12/2012 23:04

Erm you do know you can remove them with any oil based product dont you? Xmas Grin

memphis83 · 27/12/2012 23:04

I had to pull mine off, lashes included, I had about 10 lashes left, I got a reaction to them as she put them too close to my eye and it was a back holiday so no way of contacting woman...never again.

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 23:05

Nooooooooooo :(

I didn't know

And am a bit drinky :(

I look awful

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :(

Catgirl, get yourself some Revitalash to help those poor babies grow back - think Amazon has it cheap.

VicarInaTutuDrankSantasSherry · 27/12/2012 23:05

oh,.......

well. it all recovers.

i had 3 sets of shellac gel polish one after the other and it left my lovely usually strong long nails weakened bleeding stubs....6 weeks of continuous wear that was though.

the lashes grow back. promise!
your nails will survive and exfoliator does wonders for patchy tan!

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 23:06

YY Memphis

Salon is closed till the 2nd and eyelash lady not back till the 7th

Had no choice

OP posts:
VicarInaTutuDrankSantasSherry · 27/12/2012 23:07

i used oil based remover and i still ended up with bald eyes....

there is purpose made lash remover that i would invest in for next time....i did have a baldy eyelash thread when i did it. clearly the message didnt get through to all!

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 23:09

Thank you all for patching me up :)

Have ordered some Revitalash from Amazon as per Bella's suggestion and am off for a shower with my Soap and Glory Breakfast scrub

If you see a sad, patchy, nailworn, eyelash free woman on your travels tomorrow, do stop and say hello to me :) x

I've had hem continuously for two years. Have solved baldy new born mole problem. But am financially crippled.

catgirl1976geesealaying · 27/12/2012 23:12

Did you not find them too itchy ifancy?

I was prepared to sell soul for upkeep as was initially delighted but they were really irritating me

Maybe not compatiable with contacts?

OP posts:
rhondajean · 27/12/2012 23:38

I've had mines continuously for two years too cat and I wear contacts.

Nips like feck if you get them wet in the shower mind you.

Charliefox · 28/12/2012 03:07

I've had them in the past and agree, they do look amazing but my own lashes came out with them too and they looked terrible. I've never had them since, tempting as it is but revitalash is a wonder product and mine are back to normal again now.

For fake tan removal, any old scrub in the shower but the real trick is to have your skin a bit damp still, then get an old, cheap, rough towel and use it to rub the tan off. Works a treat. Towel has to be rough though - doesn't work with a fluffy, soft one not many things do sorry, am still in Miranda-mode!

Oh dear poor you op.

Is Shellac really that bad too? And importantly does revitalash actually work

QuinnFabray · 28/12/2012 09:10

Never had any problems with shellac or other gel nails. My nails are stronger since having it done, in fact. Are you getting them removed correctly? Or are you picking at them and peeling them off yourselves?!.

VicarInaTutuDrankSantasSherry · 28/12/2012 11:11

everyone always asks me that regards the shellac.....i always had the removed correctly at the salon but they starved my nails of oxygen and they got weak and brittle and ended up splitting, bleeding stubby ghosts of nails past...i did have them on constantly for 6 weeks though...

my nails grow really fast and are really long, but they took a good couple of months to recover and the surface was knackered from roughing them up for the shellac.

never again.

rhondajean · 28/12/2012 11:44

My nails looked awful after 18 months of shellac.

It was fine as long as I went to the salon fortnightly, got it soaked off and replaced immediately. However I was decorating so I soaked it off myself and didn't replace right away, and I was horrified to see what Thr actual condition of my nails was.
