I've coloured mine and it's way too dark. It says it lasts 24 washes but I'm not keen to wait that long. Any recommendations? Can I redye it lighter (I'm clutching at straws here!).

Thanks :)

What about one of those hair dye removal kits? I haven't tried them but saw a couple in Boots. x

I've used the colour remover stuff before but it stinks to high heaven and is a faff but it does work.
My hairdresser says to use a shampoo like vosene or head and shoulders and it will strip the colour

Yes, I've just read head and shoulders works and thankfully that's the shampoo I need to use so I'll give that a go. I've also used the hair stripping stuff and my hair was left scarecrow yellow!!! I'm not keen to go down that road again. I'll just wait and hopefully it will wash out in no time.

TBH, i think head & shoulders, vosene doesn't really strip the colour from your hair enough to give noticeable results, believe me I've been there too many times! And I've used the fairy liquid too! There is another prouduct called B4 U Colour (not to be confused with Colour B4 - which is the colour stripper). B4 U Colour is like claifying shampoo, in a bottle (comes in a box). You wash your hair with it like you would with shampoo, basically it's designed for preparing your hair before colouring but also can lift any unwanted temp dyes in your hair, I think this works better than h&s & the likes. You may need to use it a few times to get results. I got mine from Boots, I would imagine you can get it from the usual places as well like superdrug etc.
