Well, there's nothing really wrong with it except it's mouse rather than the reddish blonde I was expecting. Dark and dreary but not bag over the head bad. It's a John frieda foam one. Anything I can do to encourage it to fade/ lighten or should I put another dye on top?

If it's not too bad, I'd leave it to settle for a couple of days and see how it looks after a wash.

Don't put another dye on top, no good for your hair.

If you really don't like it...I just used a colour stripper on mine after dying it far too dark.
Was a faff to do but the results were really good.

I used that brand/shade on me and it went very dark. Loved the ease of the foam - the colour was awful :( I'd change brands, LIVE is good and truer to what it is supposed to be!

It's the foam versions of Nice n Easy that seem to go funny colours! I've been using 103a medium blonde for years, tried the foam one and went dayglo yellow! Try the normal cream next time. I'd give it a few washes, the colour will soften. I've heard using head n shoulders can strip colour a little, not tried it myself but might be worth a go.

Anti dandruff shampoo is meant to make coloured hair fade/tone down.

Head and Shoulders or Fairy Liquid and a ton of conditioner.

Good luck!

Thank you all! Have Fairy Liquid to hand so will try that tonight, H&S when the shops reopen ... It's not awful, just drab and lowering.
