Never mind the BBH, do I need an Instyler?

Anyone got one? They look good, but then again anything on shopping channels have the potential to be really shite Wink

I'm itching to get one and straighteners seem to make my hair too 'flat'! Grin

I saw the ad and popped into boots yesterday as thought I would get one and then saw the price. Shock £100

ggirl · 24/12/2012 11:52

yes they are mega expensive!

I need actual proof before forking out that much

curiositykilledthekat · 24/12/2012 12:13

I have one, wouldn't be without it. It gives my hair that fresh blow dried swishy look and not poker straight look you get with hair straighteners IYSWIM. I have had mine just over a year and bought it from QVC. Mine is lilac colour, I think I paid about £100.

Much better than the Babyliss Big Hair (I ended up taking mine back).

With the QVC 30 day money back guarantee you really have nothing to lose.

so does it give volume at the roots?

Does the heat damage your hair??? I'm really nervous about 'cooking' my hair.

curiositykilledthekat · 24/12/2012 13:02

There are various ways in which you can style with it. It comes with a really good dvd. You can get good volume on the crown and roots and even curl your hair (beachy waves as opposed to tight curls).

I have not noticed any heat damage, no more than any other heat styler. Although I only wash my hair twice a week. I wouldn't want to use it every day! I use argan oil and Aussie heat protectant.

It definately took practice at the beginning, especially when I took off the heat guard (got a few burns!) but I really would recommend!

thanks , i'll have a look at some you tube videos of it in action

I have a BBH and it is great for slightly longer hair but now I have a chin length bob and the barrel is a bit too big so I was considering the smaller barrel instyler. It looks good because it straightens with volume - or so it says...

Oh hello - I'd forgotten about this thread :)

They are £49 atm so not the megga bucks that they were when they first came out, They remind me of the Braun gas styler which I LOVEd had had for years but they discontinued Sad
