I bought DD's school shoes there, Hush Puppies, half sizes etc. Thought they were good and at £32 not cheap. Beware there are lots of cheap plastic shoes too though!

oh thanks kbear

so they have good quality brands as well as cheap?

dd2 is only a size 20 (i think) (i think thats a size 3 or 3.5?)

do they have shoes that small?

They have some good leather shoes for boys and girls (Clarks too if you like them), for adults too - got some great boots there in the sale.

They also have trainers galore.

I took DD there today to look for school shoes - the only choice was Hush Puppies which were £32 so we ended up in Clarks. The fitting was Ok though - the guy measured her as 11F (Clarks later measured her as 11 and a half F) but she was borderline between the two.

Bought DS some shoes from there before Christmas - £10, leather uppers - they were fab, and have lasted ages as his feet have only just changed size (have taken him to be checked three times since Christmas!!).

clarks hardly had any in her size today

ive gone right off them

i like their shoes for the girls but they never seem to have their sizes for some reason

and the local independent shop is fabulous but very expensive. they sell clarks and start rite, but at inflated prices

I don't like Clarks either Nailpolish - it was the lesser of two evils today, though - £24 as opposed to £32 in Brantano, and as KBear said there's quite a lot of cheap tat in there - liked the look of quite a few pairs of shoes until I realised they were'nt leather uppers. It was those Hush Puppies or nothing really.

DP and i buy our shoes there. i am a size 9 and they do ladies shoes up to size 10!
DD has £5 trainers from there and a pair of good shoes for school.

nailpolish · 13/04/2006 20:13

yes ive had a look at the website and some nice shoes but not always leather

do you know if they have very small shoes?

Sorry - can't remember as I headed straight for the size 11's.

DS was a size 7 when I bought his, so didn't notice then, either.

(Am very unobservant generally - DH always jokes that I would make a crap witness and would never be able to identify anyone in a line up!!!!! Grin)
