Black jeans that don't fade!

KateMush · 20/12/2012 21:54

I've recently bought 2 pairs of black jeans, but after a couple of washes they have both faded or gone streaky and look rubbish!

Can anyone recommend a brand that don't do this please? (and aren't too pricey either)...

Many thanks

They all do it - I just redye mine with the Dylon back to black stuff

use a detergent for colours as the others contain bleaches that will fade dark colours

Do you use colour liquid ? Normal detergent will make them fade as it contains bleach . Tumble drying wil make marks . I sympathise though as I do take extra care and my black jeans have still faded .

Thanks for replies Thanks will try colour detergent on my next pair and see if Dylon does the trick on current jeans!

my lewis pair is pretty good.
I use a colour liquid and only a short cycle at 30. had them for a year now and the colour kept pretty well. and they are the only pair I didn't get a hole at my buttock after a few months.

tip:

wash them inside out,no hotter than 40 degrees, and use half a cup of vinegar in the conditioner drawer.

(promise you won't smell of vinegar!)
