CHALLENGE! Small tardis-like bag needed!

I really need a new bag for when I go back to work in May. I am a teacher & because I have been off for so long I have 'lost' my classroom & will have to teach all over the place. I'm looking for bag that goes either accross the body or around the waist (but not bum bag - I hate them!) that has different sections for all my pens, stickers etc (makes a change from nappies, wipes, toys & teethers!). My hairdresser has the kind of thing for her tools, but doesn't know where it came from. Hers is aboout the size of a paperback book & is black leather. It is perfect. I don't want it to be too big as I don't want it to get in the way of all the dynamic teaching I'll be doing (gulp!)and I need hands free for all the books I'll hve to lug about.

Can anyone help?

proper leather \link{http://www.wrightsofhuntly.co.uk/pages/tool%20belts.html\tool belt}? Or a rather fetching \link{http://www.pinktoolbelts.com/\pink} one.

DH suggests a nail pouch - he gets his tool belts, drill holsters etc from \link{http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/cat.jsp?cId=101360&ts=30747\here}...

Although I rather like those bags I fear they are not smart enough for school. I don't want to keep taking it on & off (as I know I'll loose iot)so it needs to be smart enough for the Head, parents, visitors to see.

Thanks though!

I used to love radley when they first came out and no one had them now they're everywhere I'm not so keen but you can always take the dog off and no one would any of the wiser !

chocolateshoes · 13/04/2006 13:43

Thanks Hazellnut! But I need lots of pockets for all the junk I'll have to carry.

I know I'm being difficult!

889 with waist belt on \link{http://www.sovaleather.com/belts.htm\here}?
\link{http://www.leathershop.co.uk/detail.asp?ID=5227\this} one has more pockets than the Radley.
Or something more like \link{http://www.shoppersworld.co.uk/store/product.asp?s=395&d=2958&p=27357&c=1&s1=1&s2=1&s3=0\this}?

Chocolate shoes I bought something similar to what you describe for £10 from Clarkes (as in shoes!) a few weeks ago - Its fab and goes everywhere with me!!!

busybusybee · 17/04/2006 21:59

I have tried to find them on their website but cant access it as I havent got flashplayer or something similar

They are currently available in black, beige and khaki green - seude type material. Compared to what I normally have mine looks smart, I would wear it too work too if I went out to work (currently working at home!)

Chocshoes I have one from Clarkes which a friend got me last year in the sale buit they usually have similar. Nylon, a bit sporty looking, loads of pockets and compartments byut v small.

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 13:17

Thanks! Am off to search in Clarks! (Knowing me I'll end up with 3 pairs of shoes as well! - Come to think of it I'll need some new sandals.... Grin)

If I had a tardis-like bag I'd like David Tennant to pop out of it...

chocolateshoes · 18/04/2006 13:33

Mmmm...but I would have preferred Christopher Eccleston. He's gorrrrrgeouss!
