Job interview - What could I wear?

It's for a Library Assistant in a University Library. What should I wear? I currently don't work . Can I get away with not wearing a suit and if I don't what could I wear instead?

Trousers and a top will be fine IMO.

Accessories usually make an outfit so you could wear a plain top and add a necklace or belt or scarf.

A pair of black trousers, a smart top and smart jacket.
