So now I've got short hair, can anyone recommend a product to scrunch in and give it a messy look?

It's a just below chin length bob, not short short. I'd like something like a putty or a gel that I can scrunch in when it's dry to give it a textured messy look - something that stays rather than dropping out after ten mins!

Lee stafford my big fat texturised hair super spray.

They have it in most boots. Really good.

Sounds like just what I'm looking for Beaver!

Fudge salt spray - supposed to replicate beach hair. Great stuff.

Hmm, the thing about salt spray is that it never seems to have much hold...my hair just seems to absorb it then drop down again. And you can make your own :)

Fudge Hair Shaper

is good - waxy texture - banishes any fluffiness, lets you mould and gives very good hold. Smells nice too (if you like vanilla).

Ah that looks ideal HouseofTinsel - I love waxes but haven't seen a "strong hold" one like this before. Haven't had short hair for years so am out of touch with all the good products!

Well it tames my triangle fluffy nightmarish triangle hair first thing in the morning after washing, so hopefully would do the job!

Vo5 extreme style matt definition spray, is very good-great staying power.

It does not brush out at all though.
