Can anyone help a financially and style challenged women find a dress?

Found dream dress on ebay. 1p and free PP. Green silk. Obviously got outbid at the final second. I am gutted.

I have been on ASOS, Tesco and Asda. I need a classy Christmassy dress for my first ever time as host on Christmas day. My budget is £10. Can anyone suggest a good site?

What size are you? What style do you like, long/ short/ v neck etc etc

TheCortanaThatStoleChristmas · 14/12/2012 17:02

Size 8/10. I like short but not clubbing short IYSWIM Xmas Grin. Don't mind style, I will be barefoot most of the day so am planning to wear it with legging or black tights so I can still sit on the floor with the DC. I just want to "dress up" and look nice for once instead of jeans and t shirt. Would like red, green or black but again not massively fussed.

Such a shame, I have a lovely green dressy dress that would have been perfect, it's too big for me but would be massive on you (size 20!) Sad

Bless you for thinking of it though.

What do you think of this www.missrebel.co.uk/product-Red-Bandeau-Prom-dress-13617

I have no style at all. I am wearing a shirt with a wolf on it.

I have just found out that cape dresses exist. I could be a Christmas host and pretend to be a bat at the same time.

I like the first one you linked to OP and would work with leggings so you could look lovely and still be comfortable.

notMarlene · 14/12/2012 17:24

On refelection I think the second one you linked to is probably too summery. Sorry. black and gold?

TheCortanaThatStoleChristmas · 14/12/2012 17:26

Ok, have gone for the longer style as no doubt even with an amazing transformation to style goddess I will spend most of the day playing star wars lego on the floor.

Thank you for your help. I have no clue so much appreciated.

x posts again

Thanks though notMarlene. I think you were right about the second one being too summery. The longer one would look nice in summer with sandals I think but the short one too much for winter.
