WTF is a Snow Ball? Confused Outdoor?

notMarlene · 12/12/2012 22:03

and, what sort of budget?

Teeb · 12/12/2012 22:06

I'd think it would be something quite prom-esque maybe.

stayathomegardener · 12/12/2012 22:10

Snow ball is just a Chrissmassy title for a party in a marquee,Disco,Bucking Bronco,Buffet all for under 16's.

I think it may be linked to Pony Club....But pony's and DD are not acquainted.

Budget -Dress depends on if it can be worn again.Shoes -DD is now my size so if we both like them up-to £100 preferably less but we are getting slightly desperate as have looked a fair bit

Have looked online at prom options...possibly in the wrong places though

DD very small size six so can be swamped easily, likes sleeveless, strappy, short.

maybe
over budget
black
over budget (are you sure short and strappy is OK?)

Any of those anything like? all come in a 4 as well as a 6.

stayathomegardener · 12/12/2012 22:36

I'm not sure about anything!

She currently favours an old dress that she has "customized" by cutting it up-it was awful to start with and is marginally improved but....

I like maybe but will show DD in the morning for feedback.Thank you

black, unusual only a 4
too glitzy?
so pretty
pink
also pretty

size 6 only

notMarlene · 12/12/2012 22:38

x posts!

Any chance of a photo of her customised creation?

stayathomegardener · 12/12/2012 22:49

Gosh love some of those!

DD adores Millie Mackintosh too so could swing things there.

Will see if I can get a photo put up tomorrow.

Dd ( same age as yours ) would definitely buy this if she had any big event to go to:
topshop
I think it is so lovely I'm tempted to get it and just wait for an appropriate "do"...I get my fashion kicks vicariously now!!!

notMarlene · 12/12/2012 23:33

LOvely isn't it! I really wanted to link to that but the 6 is sold out.

cathyandclaire · 12/12/2012 23:41

Oh no! Maybe they'll grow into it ?!?! Xmas Wink
Or this as an option, older dd(15) likes this topshop
We have a sequin skater fetish in our house!!!

stayathomegardener · 13/12/2012 16:40

Ok photo added on profile

Oh, that's not terribly wrong, I see what she's getting at!

How's the finish IRL, does it looked hacked at or anything? The pink straps look a bit random, are they part of the dress or just showing in the photo? She could always add a wee pink corsage to make sense of them.

stayathomegardener · 13/12/2012 16:48

OH thank goodness, was on tenterhooks there style guru!

The top is hacked as in neatly cut but the fabric she removed was black, that I can fix.The pink is her bra straps which she won't mind showing

OP posts:
stayathomegardener · 13/12/2012 16:49

Will poss wear black bra...and shoes

OP posts:
notMarlene · 13/12/2012 16:57

Lol at style guru!! Let her go for it then, surely? You could always add black / white / monochrome ribbon or band to make straps to cover her bra. The girl has taste! Will it be formal enough? I'd guess so.

this?
