Zip on side, round-toed, flat...

Have I bought some mum boots? :(

I'm going to say no...but I'm not a mum boot expert. They are cool.

Curtsey · 12/12/2012 11:00

No, I don't think they're mum boots :)

NoWuckingFurries · 12/12/2012 11:14

No. Not unless you plan to wear them with the dreaded boot-cut jeans, two inches too short Grin

Not Mum Boots at all. I'd be dead impressed with a Mum wearing those. Really like them. Bit edgy. (actually they're probably a bit edgy for a MNer, and totally tame for a teenage girl).

these are Mum Boots.

BaublesAndCuntingCarolSingers · 12/12/2012 11:25

Oh thanks for the demonstration. ChinUp Xmas Grin

My mum was selling THOSE BOOTS at atable-top sale we did last week. It seems that even my 55 year old mother knows that they are mum boots and to get rid!

Do you like them? If so, what does it matter if someone else calls them mum boots?

ChinUpChestOut · 12/12/2012 11:39

They're shockers, aren't they? I have a friend who has about 3 pairs of the bloody things "as they're so comfortable". Every time I go round to her house I have to resist the urge to throw the sodding things out. She looks so Mumsy every time she wears them.

DH has my permission to pillow me if he catches me wearing Mumsy clothing.

That keeps me on my toes....... as sometimes I forget and put a nice warm fleece on.

racingheart · 12/12/2012 11:40

What is so wrong with mum boots? We're mums. We wear them because they are comfortable, you can zip them on and off in a hurry when you're in and out of the house all day and they don't go with anyeverything, including our 10 year supplies of 2 inches too short bootcut jeans.
Xmas Grin

RavenVonChaos · 12/12/2012 11:48

Anything with a square toe is a granny boot/shoe.

Cunting - was in urban outfitters yesterday and felt a tad too old Grin

crypes · 12/12/2012 11:49

A frumpy mum uniform is mum boots and too short bootcut jeans, a sensible waister fleece and a mahoosive wide arse that can barely fit thru a door.

akaemmafrost · 12/12/2012 11:51

No not at all.

ArcticRoll · 12/12/2012 11:57

It's a bit of a nightmare working out mum boots-biker boots are the new mum boots along with anything knee length (I think) and ankle black boots are the new cool. However those boots are great and nothing from Urban Outfitters could qualify as mum style.

Curtsey · 12/12/2012 12:03

Nothing's wrong with them racingheart. Tis only a bit of banter. :)

racingheart · 12/12/2012 12:07

Curtsey - I know. I was joining in the banter! I am the mum crypes describes though I draw the line at the sensible fleece most days. But when it matters, or when I get sick of being frumpy, I follow advice on here and get loads of compliments. So I trust you lot 100%, even though on the school run it never shows!
