40 in 2 days - Party Looming..tell me what I've forgotten!!

Right - big party on Saturday for my 40th...I preparing to look fabulous (well as fabulous as I can get).

So far I have...
Had nails done (gel - so will last)
Spray tan booked for Thurs
I am exfoliating/moisturising every day in prep for tan
Hair appointment booked for Sat afternoon

falsh eyelashes (not colossal ones) bought
dress Billion Dollar Baby
Shoes - leopard print pointed flats
Foxy red bra (can't wear knickers)

I haven't got a bag !! Which colour?
Also, do I wear a red flower in my hair ?
Do I wear jewellery?

Have I forgotten anything obvious? I don't get dressed up that often. But I really want to look my best......

Sounds like a complete plan t0 me. What you doing leg wise? Seamed stockings?

Bag wise I'd go with black. Maybe along the lines of this?

Red flower could be a bit costumey and hard to match te colour too, cream or maybe black? I have a very nice cream silk hydrangea which works a treat with this sort of look. Jewelry wise, a cuff and smpel wee studs should cut it.

Do you have spanx?

Make up? Red lips and classic pin up eyes, I assume?

Legs: nothing - getting tanned so it gets rid of my almost blue tinge

I'm conscious that I have leopard print & red, my nails are v dark red too. I don't want to be too much of a hotch potch!

Will search at lunchtime for a classier flower - I have a vast array at home. I think I wear a flower every day !! hmmm...so now thinking that I could go flower-free !

Black cuff?

I wear one of these (mines black) under stuff like that. Wonderful thing.

I don't have spanx. The only underwear I am wearing is a bra. The dress is made of the most incredible material...it just holds you in without cutting off air supply.
Plus - I've lost 3 stone in last 2 years, I've sweated my ass off at numerous Core strength / body pump / zumba classes over the last year. I am a curvey size 14 and 6 ft tall.
Also.....I want to feel sexy (if you knew me, you'd would know that is quite funny) - and spanx don't do that for me...

Make up ! Well another issue....I usually do big eyes or big lips (never together) so - I think I'm going to do smokey eyes and pretty nude lips (probably 'Sexy Mother Pucker'

Oh I love 'What Katie Did' ! I am jealous.

Being palest of pale is surely A Good Thing if you're going pin up? I'd be tempted to skip the tan and go with seamed stockings.

I'm a great fan of the classic pin up make up but smokey eyes and nudeish lips could work

I do agree and usually I embrace my fairness.....but I really can't wear anything under the dress. You would see clearly.

I adore Ruby Woo. Tend to alernate between that and Mabaline Super Stay 24 hour (think it might be called 16 hour in the UK) in Red Passion. The mabaline is utterly immovable.
