How to make my ruined suede shoes pretty again

I was out at my works do last night, which was a bit mental- and woke up very hungover this morning to find that I had completely wrecked my nice suede heels.

They smelt of spilt drink and vomit, and also had a bit of kebab wrapped around the heel. (I am pure class)

I tried the steaming over the kettle technique to try and and lessen the damage but it didn't work. I then reluctantly got a scrubbing brush and dampened it, and set to work- which cleaned them up quite well.

The only thing is though, the areas where the drink/sick splashed on the most has kind of solidified, and the once glossy suede is patched with dull scabby looking bits.

I've left them to dry and haven't touched them since as it breaks my heart to look at them (drama llama, I know). Money is tight this month it being Xmas and all and they are my only acceptable shoes for my party outfits, and I have a lot of dos lined up Hmm

Have any of you had any luck replenishing suede? I know they're not going to be perfect again, but I'd like to try and make them look as good as possible. Was thinking of even heading to a cobblers and asking them to 'make them pretty again'

Help please. Or I'll be wearing Primark flats with my naice party dress (that needs heels so I don't look stubby)

Oh dear. I'm wearing my suede heels tomorrow night and am worried now Grin

You can get a suede foam cleaner and a rubber suede brush to try to clean them better, from a decent shoe shop or cobblers.

Good luck!

I bought a black suede spray to re-colour my suede boots from Russell and Bromley. Haven't used it yet, so can't vouch for results, but might restore them to their former glory? Not sure what other colours they had.
