Great Plains sizing in trousers - true to size or small fitting?

Looking at a pair of trousers on Great Plains, I'm an in between size, could be a 10 or a 12 depending on the trousers. Are Great Plains true to size, or do they come up small? Any advice appreciated!

I'm 10/12 and 12 is miles too big on me in trousers from GP.

I got some cords last year and found them quite big and quite long!
