Black winter school coat, any suggestions please?

I need one for my DD. I was looking for a waterproof, wind proof insulated one but haven't had much luck as a lot of them seem to have embellishments on them which aren't really allowed.

I have seen this from JL but can't tell if it'll be warm enough. Does anyone have this and would you recommend it?

Or, are there any others that you would recommend please? I don't want a wool coat, more a lightweight one that'll be warm enough for the winter.

Many thanks in advance.

Trespass are great, you can get various sorts including 3 in 1 with removable fleecy lining, and very reasonably priced. They are really waterproof too - not just 'showerproof' or 'water resistant'.

Next, DDs had several black coats from there.

Much as I think all school coats ought to be bright pink, yellow or orange.

Thanks for your replies. Xmas Smile

MrsShortfuse, I've never Trespass coats before so thanks for the link. I had a quick look and they do look like they could be perfect.

Startail, I've always got the Dc's coats from next but couldn't see a plain black one but I'll have another look online tomorrow. It is weird buying a black coat for young children. I agree about the brighter colours.

Thanks
