Is bleaching my hair a good idea?

I have longish shoulder length hair with long layers, dark blond with mid blond highlights. I'm aiming for sienna miller, but with dd I just bung it in a bun - I thought I looked boho but Dh said its more prim!!! I'm thinking if I get a few really blond highlights it won't look quite so boring - whadder you think?! Will I have slaggy straw hair and regret it?!

Any style gurus around?

Get a haidresser to advise. A mix of highlights and kow lights might be nice.

Oooh a mix is a good idea. Any hairdressers on here to advise how much of each one so I don't get manky straw head.
