Please can someone help dress me?

Have only recently come back to work after maternity leave so all clothes old/ not smart enough. I actually feel like I've forgotten how to be smart after months of being covered in baby sick...

I need something lovely and shiny and new to give me the confidence to go in there and nail it.

I was thinking pencil skirt and blouse maybe, but as I said, I'm rubbish at being smart. Any ideas ladies?

What is your budget?

redrubyshoes · 07/12/2012 20:56

Sorry to be abrupt but it cuts out a lot of searching because my first thought and wish list is Hobbs.

PullyWoolOver · 07/12/2012 20:59

Ha, no worries ruby, was about to add budget and the phone rang!

Budget around £150 ish

That is not bad notmost... I looked in Zara today but they didn't have anything like this in. Thank you for the suggestion, I have added to my 'possibles' list Grin

I second Hobbs.

Like this?

I wear suits/pencil skirts every day at work and have a fair idea of what washes/dry cleans well and work with heels and flats.

Ask away.

M&S for plain t shirts to go under a suit jacket. Tescos surprised me a great pencil skirt for £14 and Phase Eight and Kalico for basics. Fenn Wright Mason for tops with sewn in bra for a neat finish.

Thanks ruby - that is such a lovely suit, I didn't know Hobbs did such nice workwear things. I love the black crepe dress on there too - not sure if that is interview material though? Anyway, that is just the sort of thing I was looking for. Will have a browse and am sure I will get something from there. Thank you so much for your help!
