Opinions needed please! Dress for 3 events - will it work?!

It's this one from Mango - I have DH's work do next week (cocktail dress), a work lunch a few days later, and then a family party just after Christmas. Can I make it work for all 3? I was thinking I could dress it down for the lunch with flat shoes/boots or something? Really don't want to have to buy 3 outfits, am broke!

Its quite casual. esp for the cocktail event.

I think it is good for the lunch and the family party. I am with ruby about the cocktail event, it seems far too casual for that.

I like that - it would look bloody awful on me (hour glass / norks) but if you are tall and straight or even short and straight it could be fab. Huge heels needed for the work do and a big cocktail ring maybe. Dress down in a sort of 60s way perhaps - google Mary Quant or Twiggy for ideas maybe?
