Opinions please on dresses for Christmas party

Having trawled the stores and found nothing to fall in love with, I have decided to wear something I already own. The event is dinner in a Mayfair restaurant with DH's work colleagues.

Options are:
French Connection tunic dress
Monsoon silk tunic

Would wear either with opaques and black suede heels

Any thoughts?

I like the French connection dress more Christmassy. You could but a nice pair of shoes seeing as you've saved on the dress
