Really want juvederm but shit scared

Thats it really. I have medium sized lips, not really thin but would like to plump them up abit. I have tried things like lipfusion and city lips, but I don't think they work on me. I am tempted to have the juvederm, but really really scared, don't want to end up like a trout. Any positive and negative experiences?

It's vital to find the right Practitioner and be prepared to travel to visit the right one.

I have Botox and my chap who injects me always says he could make my lips look great Xmas Hmm but I've never been tempted, I feel that if your lips don't turn out right it can ruin your looks more than any other precedure going.

Where are you in the country? I've heard that Tracey Mountford is excellent, she's London based iirc.

Thanks sugar I am based in Birmingham, thats why I am scared because it can really mess the way you look.

Its not something i would consider, but always pay more if it means getting an expert to do it.

Second Dr Tracy Mountford in Harley St

I haven't had my lips done, but she has a great reputation. Don't assume you'd have Juvaderm- there are lots of products she can use depending on the result you want.

People get trout lips because they went for permanent fillers - hardly any reputable drs use those now. But I have heard that your lips swell hugely for a day or two until they settle down- and it's evidently quite painful to have it done.

Another rec for TM in Harley St. Had my tear troughs done there and I am so pleased with the result. They seem to underdo rather than overdo their procedures.

Walnutcakelover · 06/12/2012 11:19

Would like this done myself, but scared.

IslaValargeone · 06/12/2012 11:26

Sugarice, are you not tempted to find another practitioner?
I certainly wouldn't be happy going somewhere and someone suggesting I needed other tweaks?
It would make my self confidence even worse.

countryrose · 06/12/2012 12:17

Thanks ladies. I might have to travel to find a really good one then, if I have the guts to do it.

Annabella5 all of your posts on here have been advertising the same clinic/doctors. Do you realise that you are supposed to pay to advertise?
