Sally Hansen's 14 day nail shield

Has anyone else tried them? They are blooming marvellous.

I had a horrid gel nail experience recently and my nails are vv short and very flaky, weak and bendy. I found this SH stuff in the Pound Shop and I am so impressed. They are like peely nails which you put over the top of your nail and they, apparently, last two weeks. I'm on day 4 with a Seche Vite top coat on and my nails are still just like the night I put them on.

I haven't seen these in the shops before, so went back and bought 5 packs just to keep me going. Really recommend them.

Valium Well, mine have lasted nearly the two weeks but you are right, they are HELL to get off. I so wish you weren't right but... you are :(.

So now my nails are even worse than the gel nail disaster. I have cut them so short there is barely anything left of them and still I can feel the stumpy nail bend.

Any recommendations would be very gratefully received. Many thanks from Stumpy-nailed ESP

Not sure what type of salon you had them done in but if they used a drill type tool on your actual nail then you should never go back and tell all your friends to never go there too!

Best thing for your nails right now is to just pick up a 3 way buffer and some cuticle oil from boots Superdrug etc buff them lightly to start with as they are thin and lavish them with cuticle oil a couple of times a day massaging it in all over especially around the cuticles as under there is where the nail is formed, they take approx 5-6 months to grow out so you can gradually let them get longer but any damage will obviously have to grow out.
Don't put any clear magical top coats on in my opinion these are a con and just dry your nails further making you dependant on them (but I have no scientific proof of this) and the buffer should make them shiny anyway Grin

Oh no Sad That's probably why they ended up in the pound shop!

Keep them short and massage daily like miss suggests and but some Sally Hansen Miracle Cure(blue bottle) it's about a tenner but really worth it and saved my nails when they were going through a stage of splitting badly.
