Which tights for this dress?

I am wearing this dress to a christmas party. I have similar shoes to the ones the model is wearing. She looks great bare-legged in the picture but that isn't very practical for December. What tights do you think would look best with black patent shoes? I was wondering if to go with opaque black? But then would mean my entire bottom half is black. Unfortunately I'm not a big lover of nude tights.

Dark grey maybe?

Burgundy tights would look great with grey and black, I think.

The really thin black tights? 10 denier?

polyhymnia · 30/11/2012 20:15

Yes, I think those would look better than opaque with that dress.

Not sure about burgandy. Was kind of mulling over purple-ish tights but not sure I have the confidence for that as would be kind of a "colour" statement.

Now you've said it I know what you mean about the thinner denier in black. I guess I'm just a little bit worried that the dress in general might not be suited to "winter wearing" and tights.

I think wearing thick tights with it might only underline its 'lightness' rather than making it look more more 'wintery'.

Yes i agree with regards to not opaque. What about silvery, sparkly tights?
