Can anyone help style this dress please?

I've just bought this dress in black (bargain!) and can't decide what to wear with it.
I was thinking black peep toe heels, nude tights and large pearl look necklace and bracelet, but I'm worried that might be a bit... dull rather than classic?

That's a lovely dress.

I would wear opaque tights with black shoes with a thin white belt with chunky pearls.

I would go with black tights, maybe opaque, metallic shoes & perhaps a sequin skinny belt which compliments the shoes.

I don't wear black tights they remind me too much of school and I just feel so uncomfortable wearing them. (I feel the same about black trouser, job interviews are a blast )

Oh goodness, there is so much you can do with a dress like this. For daytime: red cardi and flat red ballet pumps and pearls at neck. A little hat like a beret would look fab with this. For night; metallic heels or a black peeptoe heels (as long as they have a bow or ankestrap or some detailing), a cream faux fur wrap or 60s style matt silk cropped jacket in ivory, black leather gloves, and a little black choker or pearls. Hair in updo if poss. A boxy vintagey handbag and you're all set. Both looks work with non-black stockings too. A lovely versatile little dress.
