5' 2", shoe size 4- 4.5. What boots do you wear?

Hi,

I'm sick of being in either my trainers or flat mary janes particularly in this sort of weather and would really like to buy a nice pair of comfy boots, possibly lined that look stylish too. I'm no good at this sort of thing. I want to buy some that are longer than ankle length but anything knee or above would just look silly on me as I'm petite. Any recommendations please for something that you can wear on most days?

Thanks in advance.

I wear some v battered old tan knee length ones but wear them with fairly short skirts to allow some leg on show.

Heeled ankle boots with skinnies or pencil skirts or minis.

Biker boots with skniies or minis.

Cuban-esque ankle boots with skinnies or minis.

I'm 5'2 and either a 3 and a half or a four.

Thanks Remus.

Anybody else? I thought about Rocket Dog or Fly London mid calf type boots as they look less chunky than Uggs which is another reason why I'm not so keen on using my still boxed [blushed] pair as outdoor footwear.

Jones children's range. Honestly the best pair of boots ever!

I wear Iron Fist ugg type boots. Mainly with skinnies or leggings/jeggings and long tops.

Have Rocket Dog ones as well, that I love.

I've had problems with leaking soles in the past with a particular well known brand. Do Rocket dog soles last well?

I have had mines for 4 years. Blush

Mewsical · 27/11/2012 20:57

The Fly mid-calf ones do look very good and perfectly proportioned for everyday stuff but I found them really inflexible and wasn't prepared to see if they softened up. Timberland Rudston of this years version is mid-calf and soft leather and 30% off but only for today.

Children's!
Mini Boden, start right and some from tesco
I have had some great ones from principles in the past when they were stand alone stores

LeftyLucy · 27/11/2012 21:28

I wear Fly Mols (3 pairs) I have had for years, I can't find anything I like better. Longer than mid calf but not too long on me. I'm also 5'2 with size 4 feet and I don't think I look like an arse in them anyway.

magso · 28/11/2012 13:14

I can't pretend to be stylish but I (similar sizes -5'2" size 4.5) wear a lovely half elastic just over the knee boots with dresses because they are very comfortable and give a slim look (and keep my knees warm). Mine are a few years old but there is a similar style in Russell and Bromleys but rather pricy. I often get comments on them hence knowing where to get a similar pair. I wear flat ankle bikers with skinnys.

DD and her DF have the same Jone's kinds boots.

They have had them two winters and live in them, they are really good quality. These are not stand about chatting teens, they race about in the mud, climb things and behave like they are still at primary not 15 teens. They are not kind to their boots.
