I did mine for the first time yesterday. What am I waiting for now? Nothing has happened. Am I supposed to start flaking a bit, or what? Confused

No, it's a gradual thing. It shouldn't hurt or flake at all - but after a few, you should look fresher as the skin cells renew themselves and new ones come up to the surface.

Oh good. It's working quietly behind the scenes then. Smile

Will I look wonderful?

Umm, not really sure. I was slapdash about doing them, and then forgot altogether. I did enjoy the sizzle when I put the neutraliser on though

I'm inspired to try it all again though. We can be aciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid buddies. Is it once a week for 4/5 minutes? Then build up minutes and frequency? I canna remember.

FellatioNelson · 27/11/2012 17:47

Yes, first time 2-3 minutes then build up by a minute each week to a max of 7.

Hellooooooo! Can I join you?

Just took delivery of my first peel yesterday - working up the guts to shizzle ma face off Grin.

I have the glycolic and salycilic from bravura, but I'm doing a glycolic face cream and retin a at the moment, I'm not sure how a full bravura glycolic peel fits into that. I don't want to do myself a wrongun!

I think I'm noticing a difference from the cream and retin a, although nobody has complimented my glowing, radiant complexion I wish, I'll settle with looking less haggard.

cedge · 27/11/2012 20:04

FunbagFreddie - Glad to hear your sticking with it : )

FunBagFreddie · 27/11/2012 20:08

Thanks :) Nice to see you again btw.

I did the home made vitamin c serum a couple of times, but it burnt! The glycolic acid and retin are going well though.

I'm working up to a proper peel.

cedge · 27/11/2012 20:17

Yeah the vitamin c can burn, you could always put less in (maybe half).
Those two will do good things though. If you do a peel, stop the other things about 4 days before and 4 days after.

I'm doing the GA from Bravura. This week is the fourth week, I did six minutes, which stang a bit. But, I look great! Kind of glowy. I'm also using Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy cream once a day. I think next week will be the last week with the GA (might not be able to get to seven minutes though). Then I'll probably do it once a month for maintenance. Has anyone done that?
