Casual Christmas outfit

Ok so Christmas Day at home this year with in laws coming. No one really dresses up so party dress not really suitable. So can take advantage if this and wear something comfy so I can stuff myself at Christmas dinner!! But would still like to wear something a bit festive. Any ideas?

Can't be of any help but hope someone comes along as I'm in the same position.
I'm a size 14 and want something cosy and comfortable but a little bit special. Waiting with bated breath.

Never, I'd look like a rather badly made sausage and I'm sure it would frighten the dog.
It'll probably end up with boring black trousers and a top accessorized with dog hair.

Maybe a glittery knit? Something like this? with slim fit jeans?

Jeans a big no no on Christmas Day as want to eat and have big tummy!! Really like the skater dress though - will have a look in New Look

The mango jumper looks promising. Will certainly have a look at that, the dress is possibly a bit too short for my rather elderly knees.
