I still need help finding a perfume :(. And what do you all think of Diesel's Loverdose?

I love warm, sweet, dep scents. Base notes of vanilla, amber and musk. Nothing too fruity or flowery.

I so wanted to like Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb, because the name just tickles me. But it was just too flowery and ick.

Tried Diesel's Loverdose. Loathe the name and I think the bottle is just trashy. But the scent... the top note doesn't blow me away, but the dry-down is heavenly. Makes me feel like I've rubbed the taste of sugar on my skin. Mmmmmm...

I've tried Aqualina's Pink Sugar and didn't like it.

Vanilla, amber and musk. Surely there must be something that doesn't stink? Otherwise I have to stick to essential oils, and that just seems sad.

Help!

:o
I'm not so fond of anise - really just vanilla with other stuff thrown in go make last and make it interesting.

Years ago I had this wonderful homemade concoction of essential oils (some I can't get anymore, so when I ran out, that was it - sob) and was wearing it where I was working. A little boy and his mum walked by and he stopped, ran back to me, threw his arms around my legs, took a deep sniff and said, "Mummy, she smells like a COOKIE!!!!" :o

I've never since found a scent that made me feel like that. But the vanilla samplers look lush!!! I might have to spend lots of money. Or put three on the Christmas list.
