Girls boots that don't cost the earth??

NorbertDentressangle · 20/11/2012 21:57

DD desperately needs some boots but when we had a quick look locally we couldn't find any that were nice and didn't cost £90+.

She is just 13 (but small for her age so womens knee high boots would be over her knee!!) and a size 3.5 or 4.

This is the sort of thing she likes but I don't want to be paying that much. The other places we looked were Brantano (looked cheap and were too clompy), had heels or were all Ugg-style (which is a no-no).

Any suggestions please (ideally not on-line)

There is a 20% off Clarks code at the moment which I think is BELLS, so makes them a little more affordable!

NorbertDentressangle · 21/11/2012 08:27

Thanks I'll keep that in mind as emergency Plan B.

Still hoping that there's somewhere out there that's got some at a reasonable price

i have these ones, and the norley wood from clarks, both good boots. the £25 ones obviously not leather but have lasted well and been waterproof when out in the rain. cleaned up ok after watching my boys play rugby in a muddy field.

daisydoodoo · 21/11/2012 11:49

id say they come up small, so id go for the 4 if you wanted to try them.

nipersvest · 21/11/2012 11:49

i got dd some nice black knee length boots, leather, size 4 from tk maxx. they're decent enough for school and she wears them at the weekends too. they were £28, in the kids shoe section.

the good thing about the next ones is that they are all real leather so better quality. dd has the black leather biker boots and they are fab, shes only 6 though, so problably best not tell your dd, as might put her off!

What about zara kids? When I last looked they had some nice ones not too babyish around £40

NorbertDentressangle · 21/11/2012 13:24

Oh wow! Thank you all for those ideas.

I'll show them to DD when she gets home and we'll go from there. I think there are some possible ones in amongst those (....although she is 13 so a law unto herself Confused)

Amazon and Javari good, if you sign up to Amazon clothing emails get 20% off. I got Garvalin ones for £39 I think. And I'm pleased I didn't have to go to Clarks! To maxx never ever have anything to fit my dc or I'd go there. John Lewis also had some reasonable own brand boots.

Madmog · 21/11/2012 14:09

I bought some lovely chocolate knee height boots for my daughter from Gap for £34. She is only 135cm high and they are below her knees.

mejon · 21/11/2012 14:28

Jones the Bootmakers have a sale online at the moment. They had some biker-ish type ones in the kids sale (tempted myself but my legs are too fat!)

NorbertDentressangle · 21/11/2012 14:35

madmog -the Gap ones are lovely and I'm pretty sure she would love them but they haven't got them in a 3 or 4

mejon -I had the email about the Jones sale but the site seemed to be down when I tried to look. I'll try again later
