What do you wear with it to keep warm ? Blush

I've got a couple of outings planned & my dresses (in fact most dresses it seems) are sleeveless or short sleeved...brrr !

Lots of mine are too. But it's warm enough at the party to be ok.

And I just wear my everyday coat to get there and back in a taxi.

I have a shirt gold sparkley cardigan which I brought several years ago and always livens up a LBD, if it's really cold I've got a faux fur jacket to wear.

BunnyLeBOOwski · 20/11/2012 14:54

Definitely fur! A little cropped jacket or a cape type doodah.

Willowisp · 20/11/2012 15:01

I'm fancying the fur cape doo-dah..but where will I find one ?

Was going through the next directory last night & nothing fitting the bill there & no suitable fluffy cardies either..

Unfortunately I'm always chilly & will wear a vest under dress if I can get away with it Wink

Black - New Look

And on my travels I chanced upon this bargain. Bought it for the school run Wink

JessLG · 20/11/2012 15:49

Why not wear a coat and take off when in the taxi?

topsyturner · 20/11/2012 15:57

What colour Bunny ?
Wouldn't want to wear mine at the same time Grin

Willowisp · 20/11/2012 16:20

Isn't astrakhan lamb foetuses ? Sad irecall Madonna wearing them & Stella McCartney being outraged.

Will check other links in a mo, thanks

Here's the Wikipedia link, sorry everyone, not a nice story. Worth a quick read tho. Never knew such a thing existed. I wonder how many lambs/foetuses it takes to make that jacket.

MorrisZapp · 20/11/2012 21:39

There's a pewter sparkly cardigan in M&S, I've earmarked it to keep me modest in the morning on day of office party.

Would feel a bit odd sitting at my desk with cleavage and upper arms ahoy.

It's £22.50 iirc

MorrisZapp · 20/11/2012 21:41

Oh good Christ. I always associated astrakhan with eccentrics and dear old ladies.

That's about the worst fact I've learned here on MN. And I've learned a few stinkers.

lurkingaround · 21/11/2012 10:12

Yes I agree, awful Morris.
I'm not a vegetarian, I wear leather etc, but this seems so wrong and cruel. I wonder how people who wear astrakhan justify it?

DonaAna · 21/11/2012 10:28

Either a jewelled bolero (I like close-fitting ones with long sleeves) or a vintage mink stole.
