Winter footwear with skinnies?

What do you all wear in winter with your skinny jeans?

In summer I wear ballet pumps or converse. I have two lovely pairs of leather boots for winter, but whilst they are fine with v thin jeans or jeggings, they will not go over normal thickness denim. What's the solution? I'm not particularly keen on uggs.

Tall Uggs (sorry) or high tops.

I wear brogues, ankle boots, knee boots or Uggs.

Biker boots.
