How to tell if it's genuine?

My ExH has bought DS an American Apparel hoodie from ebay, after much pestering. He got it for less than £20 (vgc), and they are £42 new. I am worried though that it is a fake, and that DS is going to wear it proudly to school tomorrow, and the other kids who have them (there are lots - it's one of those fads) will be able to tell and tease him. He has a few ishoos about this kind of thing because we are fairly skint and he doesn't get new and trendy stuff (ever lol!), so he wouldn't be able to shrug it off .

Can anyone who has got one tell me how you tell a genuine from a fake, or I don't think I will let him wear it tomorrow just in case it all goes horribly wrong...

Basically, all I can suggest is looking on t'internet at 'real' ones and comparing. That's what I'd do. And, whilst I'm not into labels AT ALL, I do feel sorry for your DS as I remember how cruel kids can be about that kind of thing. At my school, you even had to bring in the right kind of carrier bag FFS.

I would say used but vgc usually goes for around half rrp on eBay. So just sounds like you got a bargain! I'd let him wear it ... maybe tuck another jacket in a bag for him just in case it all goes wrong!
