smoky eyes and red lips?

So, I have decided its red lips for Xmas party (got the rockalily rockette) but confused as to what colour eye make up. I am dark haired, very pale skin and outfit is all black, so I'm thinking smoky eyes (which is what I usually go for) are a no no as I will look too vampish?

What do you stylish ladies think, nude eyes with fab eyeliner flicks or go for full on vamp?

I tend to do one or the other but I'm old enough that the two together instantly makes me think Robert Palmers addicted to love video!

I personally think its like outfits you go legs out or boobs out never both. So heavy eyes nude lips or heavy lips nude eyes.

So- to actually answer the question I'd do retro eyeliner, Dita does a good eye look with red lips.

Yes, retro style, cream eyeshadow, a little black liner and red lips.
