No, you're not too old! Think it will look good on your size too.

worldgonecrazy · 15/11/2012 14:04

No, you will look fab. Wearing it with thick black tights will help tone it down a bit. I'd add killer black ankle boots to give it a modern feel.

fedupofnamechanging · 15/11/2012 14:10

I think it's a very versatile looking dress and no, you are not too old!

Doshusallie · 15/11/2012 14:15

not at all! It will look fab, go for it.

HiggsBoson · 15/11/2012 14:16

Definitely wear black opaques/leggings/skinnies. I have a couple of dresses like this (I'm 38) and tbh they are more like tops in terms of length!

Corygal · 15/11/2012 14:25

No way - you'll look great.

Paintyourbox · 15/11/2012 14:26

It's gorgeous and you will look fab!

fraggle73 · 16/11/2012 17:08

what about these shoes

Nah it's nice there but might be garish irl

fraggle73 · 16/11/2012 17:34

Is the dress garish or shoes :(

Honestly, I think the dress is terrible. There's some nice dresses on the site though.

Kissingk1979 · 16/11/2012 18:36

No not too old if you wear it with thick black tights and maybe black high heeled shoes or ankle boots

badtasteflump · 16/11/2012 18:40

Gawd it's a bit Shirley Bassey for me - although it's not for me Grin.

Sorry! I'm sure you'll look lovely - and you're not too old. I probably am - which is why I can remember Shirley Bassey...

anewyear · 16/11/2012 18:45

Im a plain black type of person and due to my shape cant wear dresses,
but then if I was your size I might think about it and Im 46 by the way..

BunnyLeBOOwski · 16/11/2012 19:04

I think the dress looks kinda cheap and tacky.

For that ££ you can do much better.

Dancealot · 16/11/2012 19:22

I like the dress and think the shoes you have picked out are absolutely fab! You will look great!

NoWayNoHow · 16/11/2012 19:26

Lovely dress, definitely wear with opaques (I LOVE M&S Secret Support 100denier - they literally hold all of me in place which it perfect for dresses like that).

I'd pair with shoes like this

fooolofbeans · 17/11/2012 09:17

i love it! you're ABSOLUTELY not too old, sparkly away!

fraggle73 · 17/11/2012 09:44

After all that I am not wearing it as my hubby said it looks awful, like a sack on me, too big. Off to the shops this morning to buy something else, I have 6 hours
:(

Don't laugh, but try Primark - they do loads of those style dresses in many different patterns, and the material is more fitted so there's no chance of it just "hanging". I've got three different ones, all 3/4 length sleeves, some a little longer in length than others, but all look great with leggings and flats for day, or plaques and heels for night. Dress up with jewellery, and you've got an outfit.

NoWayNoHow · 17/11/2012 09:58

"plaques"?? Opaques, clearly!
