Have you ever had to return to h&m online??

And its gone missing? I returned a package (around £150.00's worth as it was all crap) through royal mail, i still have the receipt though, but I've heard theyre well known for making out the parcels go missing when returning them.

Has anyone had any trouble, I just rung up and they told me it can take up to a month, so i still have 2 weeks to go before i can call again?? How does it take a month??

Certainly learnt my lesson and will never use theire online service again.

Last time I did it took over a month for the refund, they are really slow I think.

I tried to return online stuff to store and despite not saying it on the receipt apparently if you return to store you only get a credit note. And the sales assistant agreed no where on my receipt did it say that but it was the policy! Rubbish all round I say!!!!!!

ruby22 · 13/11/2012 13:22

I just sent a package back yesterday after trying to return to store but told them was not having a credit note. Have got proof of posting from the PO but the whole experience has put me off. Won't order online with them again.

Jaeme · 13/11/2012 13:25

It does seem to take a while to get your money back. I returned a load of stuff to them and it took about 3 weeks or so to get the refund but I did get a mail saying my return was being processed.

Between the long refund period, no flexibility in delivery address and no collect / return to store I won't be ordering again.

VIX1980 · 13/11/2012 13:59

Oh glad to hear people have actually had a refund from them, thought they were trying to mess me about a bit, also found it weird when i called the first thing i was asked was did i have a receipt.

almost as if i said no my parcel would have definately gone missing according to them. Guess i'll have to just sit and wait then!

They are very very very slow. The one time I did it took over 3 weeks - most annoying.

Mind you Whistles and my-wardrobe are also painfully slow at the moment.

wishiwasonholiday · 13/11/2012 14:18

Yes they are slow but I returned some stuff through Hermes last week and got an email to say they'd received it a couple of days later.

Maraki · 13/11/2012 17:44

Do check your account that the money has been credited. I got an email saying that the refund was being prosessed and then got a poxy NOTE on what looked like receipt paper through the post asking me to ring them SIX WEEKS later. When I rung they said that there was something wrong with my bank details and they couldnt / hadnt refunded me. I gave them the exact same bank details they already had and they said 'strange it went through this time'. Why did I have to ring them? Why did they need to post a note? Why 3 months after me posting the stuff back? It was £28 but I wouldnt bother buying anything from them again. Quality is shockingly bad.

iamjustlurking · 13/11/2012 18:49

Would never order on line again either took 2 months to get my order as got "lost" then out of stock. Was crap when arrived and took 1 month to get refund !!

MummyAnnabella · 13/11/2012 18:49

I have also recently returned stuff to them again £150 of stuff and while they took money out quick enough no sign of its return about a month after I had stuff picked up by their courier. I only got an email to say they had received it about a week ago a good 3 weeks plus since I had courier collect. I had in the meantime tried yo return to store but who wants a £150 credit note?! I then tried to return by post but as parcel more than 5kg (the same weight I received it) I couldn't posh so 3rd attempt was courier yet still no sign of my money.

Will never ever shop on web with them again.

mirpuppet · 13/11/2012 21:19

Same thing that happened to Maraki happened to me. I think H&M online is well dodgy. If I order I will return to store and get credit (and probably give the card to some young relative as I haven't used the ones I have so far).

thecatizzle · 19/12/2012 21:40

Can anyone just confirm for me:
Do you get a refund of your postage costs (£3.90)
Do they charge a restocking fee? (£2 something according to their website)

I've just received my order today - ill fitting clothes and yucky, itchy materials so definitely don't want them!

I'm very confused about the returns policy and I'm just wondering if I'm going to be out of pocket.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 19/12/2012 21:50

If you return them within 7 days of receiving them, they have to refund your original postage but not the postage you pay to send it back.

I'm also not sure that it's legal to charge a restocking fee under the DSRs...they didn't try with me, I'd have argued it!

thecatizzle · 19/12/2012 22:02

Thanks Caja, I will give it a go - it seems pretty shocking to be left with a £6.40 bill when you haven't got any goods to show for it!!
