Hi there
Apologies if I've posted this under the wrong talk category but wasn't sure which one to go for.
I have a team and usually buy a bottle of wine for everyone at xmas. However the team has doubled in the last year (11 staff (2 male, 9 female)) and I have one DC and another on the way so this year is going to be really tight and I can't afford to spend as much per head.
I am the only manager that buys presents for their team so I don't think I'm being mean but I have to be realistic and can't really afford to spend more than £50 in total for the team.
Anyone got any tips or suggestions on what would make a nice present? What would you like/expect from your boss?
Thank you in advance!

I make whiskey fudge for people! Or cakes, or biscuits....

Make this Christmassy (orange and spices) liqueur?

Or you can get decent bottles of wine on offer for ~£5/6? Or buy a case to reduce the cost?

Why not put 5O quid behind a bar for drinks? Bottles of wine from Aldi?

Small box of chocolates for each one. Something silly with a santa on and around the £3 mark. Or a christmassy star shaped candle. Or a jar of home made chutney.

I buy a mixture of wine, chocolates, jewellery, handcream, candles - as I work with some people that don't drink Shock or eat chocolate Shock Shock

Thanks for tips everyone.
I would love to organise pizza/drinks but am in an open paln office with 120 (mainly grumpy) people and some of my staff are also preg so can't do drinks at bar either.
However I think some chocs and an xmas related token will do it. Just realised that Boots are doing 3 for 2 and that includes food stuff so might have a nosey tomorrow!

Our Morrisons had boxes of Thorntons chocolates at half price (£2.50 instead of £5) on Friday. They were restricted to 6 boxes per person but I guess you could go in twice Grin. I've bought a couple as emergency Christmas presents Wink.
