Taking jeans up

Does anyone know anywhere in London where I can get jeans taken up without it looking totally amateur? Whenever I've had it done it never looks as though they were bought like that and it's obvious they've been shortened.

I think I read somewhere once that there's a place near Baker St or Great Portland St that does this but don't know anything else.

Can anyone help?

Selfridges alterations dept is brilliant and they will do stuff not bought in store. Had a pair of seven jeans taken up - cost £10 but you wouldn't know the difference. Think its on the 2nd floor near the toilet.

The thing any tailor can to do - if you explain it properly - is a sort of tummy tuck on the jeans. Cut them just above the original hem, cut further to length and stich hem back on. Does that make any sense? Bought Paige Premium Denim jeans at Whistles and they had them taken up for me, cost £10. Loved the jeans so much got another pair and local tailor did them for £6. Will never take jeans up myself again.
