Mint velvet. Worth the money?

I've been looking for a khaki jumper and have found one in mint velvet but it's £49.

Can anyone convince me that a jumper can be worth that much? And more importantly will it wash well?

I have a leopard print one with buttons all the way up the sleeves and it washes really well, kept its shape lovely. I have heard mixed reports on Mint Velvet quality though

I think the price is very reasonable for a nice jumper, can't help n quality though.
