Calling owners of the Barbour Peninsula Jacket or North Face Parka!

Hi,

I am after some help regarding these two coats please!

I need a new winter coat as my Boden rainyday isn't warm enough and my current parka isn't waterproof...are either of these the ONE??!!

I am after a warm, waterproof, classic (ish) coat that's built to last - I don't plan on buying another for a few years after this purchase!

I will wear it daily through the winter for the school/preschool run (totalling about 2 hours a day). I push a buggy also so need a hood as no hands free for an umbrella.

I have my eye on both these.

So anyone who owns either - what's your thoughts please? Or anyone have any similarish style to recommend?

I have recently bought the North Face parka and it is v.v.v. warm and comfy.

Not been in significant rain yet but it is very well made and I feel confident it will last me a few years

Agh me too OP, I'm distracted by the Ted Baker parka but started with north face. Can't decide long or short either.

Ooo the TB parka is very pretty but not sure if practical enough for me Vampire

Bump. The Barbour parka is sold out on John Lewis so someone must've bought it any Mumsnetters?!
