How to stop my nails splitting every time I wear nail polish

Every time I wear polish my nails split is there a product I can buy to stop this happening?

Are your nails strong generally?
A lot of people on here swear by Nail Envy for strengthening.

I wear gel polish instead of normal (although sometimes put normal on top for a couple of days change of colour) - nails are much stronger/longer now

I have the same problem! I will give nail envy a go.

I was also told Revlon 5 in 1 was good, but IME it does nothing!
