Nephew's birthday coming up. He is v label conscious (lives in Monte Carlo!) and into surfy brands (he does also actually surf and snowboard) -

so, which of these T shirts would you (as a 12 yo boy) like best?

Superdry 1

Superdry 2

Hollister long sleeves

seeker: there's a fine line between "everyone's got them so I must have too" tipping into "everyone's got them, wouldn't be seen dead in one now"

with superdry, apparently the cool t-shirts are the supersoft ones with motorsport type logos...not the ones with just a big SUPERDRY across the front.

Ingles2 · 03/11/2012 22:01

My ds 13 would go for the 1st superdry one..
It's still fashionable here out in the sticks.. That said he's moved onto check shirts with Val Doonican cardiac now from top man and river island.

germyrabbit · 03/11/2012 22:02

this is nuts i would serioulsy worry if my 12 year old was that label conscious, nuts

MrsGP · 03/11/2012 22:05

You might find something in Jack Wills?

alemci · 03/11/2012 22:09

just glad i can still get away with Flik and Flak and M & S and occasional johnnie B. My 15 year old isn't bothered and thank goodness for that.

All else TK Max or go to the USA for Vans.

germyrabbit · 03/11/2012 22:13

it's a bit mad imo that 'cool' equates to expensive brands

CointreauVersial · 04/11/2012 00:09

I think my nearly-13-yo DS would choose the Hollister out of those.

Superdry is still cool round here, just about, but I think its days are numbered.

FrightRunScream · 04/11/2012 05:46

I agree germyrabbit. Hence the quotation marks in my thread title. I think I am just going to send him money.

It's not that brands are cool, necessarily. It's that overbranding (huge logos over the front) ate not cool.
