How to style a burgundy suede skirt

I have a vintage burgundy midi suede skirt ( Oh OK I confess it's mine, I've had it years) which I feel sure should be wearable this season...
it's a bit like this but in burgundy/oxblood cache.theoutnet.com/images/products/250391/250391_in_sl.jpg

When I wear it I feel mumsy but I'm sure that's the shoes/scarf/top I'm choosing. I'm a short arse so flat shoes aren't really an option.

How could I style it to look current? Or should I chuck it?

Fitted, fine jumper. I love orange with burgundy.

You should chuck it............in my direction!

Sounds gorgeous and agree with Dexter re neat fitting jumper and boots.

But seriously......if you find you can't make it work.....Wink

colours i would pair with it are navy blue, blush pink and grey. Black would also look good but I don't tend to wear much black. I wouldn't wear ankle boots with it especially as you are short because it will cut your legs off to look even shorter. knee high boots or shoe boots in black or tan would be great.
