Shoes / Boots when wearing Skirts?

I am trying to wear more skirts but am struggling to know what to put on my feet!

I want to wear skirts both at work and sort of casual / going out.

I like long / calf length skirts mostly. I don't own any boots - fat calves!

I tend to wear ballet pump type shoes but with straps to keep them on my feet but struggle to find nice ones.

Also I really find it hard to match tops to skirts ... with trousers I just chuck any old top on but it doesn't work with skirts.

I tend to go for longer skirts as I have fat knees!!

I too think calm length skirts look frumpy.

I hardly ever wear skirts (hate my legs) but when I do, for work it's be one like MrsWolowitz linked to, with a coordinating top.

Boots which go which go with skirts could be ; www.whitestuff.com/mobile/raphela-high-leg-boot-prod403293_tan/

Fat calves here too. Try Duo boots. They have a shop in Bath, but do mail order too, with good instructions on how to measure legs. Expensive - my boots were £100 at least 5 years ago, but still wearing them. Have just been re-heeled a few times.

Will look into duo boots!

I quite like Per Una skirts but they are quite expensive.
